LIMERICK students who are flying the flag for the Irish language have been presented with awards.

Students from Limerick Educate Together Secondary School, Ardscoil Mhuire in Corbally, and Laurel Hill ColĂĄiste were presented with Gaelbhratach awards from Gael Linn.

The awards honour students in secondary schools across Ireland who inspire and empower their school communities to speak Irish and are presented to students who speak an cĂșpla focail outside the classroom.

Edel NĂ BhraonĂĄin, Bainisteoir Gaelbhratach, said Gaelbhratach “gives young people of any age or background the opportunity to use and develop their Irish language skills outside of the traditional classroom setting”.
