A NO BATHING notice has been lifted in Lahinch, County Clare, one of the most popular holiday and day-trip destinations in the Mid West for Limerick people.

Clare County Council, in conjunction with the HSE, has confirmed that the bathing ban is lifted and the beach’s Blue Flag status reinstated.

There ban was in force for four days after elevated levels of bacteria were found in water samples.

This was the second time so far this year that such a ban was imposed.
