A MAN is due to appear in court in Limerick this Wednesday morning in connection with a number of burglaries in the southern region.
The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested as part of An Garda Síochána’s Operation Thor, and is set to appear before a sitting of Limerick District Court this Wednesday morning (October 16).
Operation Thor was set up to investigate rural thefts, burglaries, and criminality in the southern region.
Launched in 2015, the Garda operation was set up to tackle, prevent, and detect burglary and associated criminal activity.

The initiative has successfully, according to An Garda Síochána, reduced the rate of winter burglaries, leading to a decline in property-related intrusion.
