A SMALL Limerick business will have its name in lights this weekend at the Aviva Stadium as Ireland take on Australia in the Autumn International Series.
SOS Cookies, founded by Ballysheedy woman Sarah O’Sullivan, is set to be shown to over 50,000 rugby fans in the stadium on Saturday (November 30), as well as thousands more watching on TV or online.
SOS Cookies was one of the winners of a Vodafone competition for the telecom company’s business customers, with a prize worth over €25,000, which will see the brand pop up on perimeter advertising boards lining the pitch throughout the game.
Sarah O’Sullivan, founder and CEO of SOS Cookies, said that the prize is a great opportunity for her company.
“As a Limerick-founded business that has seen rapid expansion online and through pop up stores in Dublin, it is fantastic to get this brand visibility on an international stage.”
SOS Cookies was founded as a passion project during the Covid-19 pandemic, and is now on track to produce over 700,000 cookies to meet the demands of their three stores – its flagship store is in the Milk Market, as well as pop-up shops in Dundrum Shopping Centre and Arnott’s in Dublin.
Amanda Nelson, CEO at Vodafone Ireland, said that the telecommunications company is “really proud to champion and support businesses just like SOS Cookies as we know they play a crucial role in driving economic growth and creating employment all over Ireland. They have embraced the benefits of digital transformation, meaning they can truly benefit from the global exposure this prize offers.”
“It is fantastic to share the benefits of our sponsorship with passionate businesses like Sarah,” Ms Nelson added.
