Ray Burke, co-producer of Live at Record Room says,

“The idea sparked from a conversation about the anniversary of the the Live at Record Room album, and we wanted to mark it in some way. We’re not making  claim to it being an original one, music fans will be aware of the annual Merchy Christmas in the Grand Social in Dublin, but we wanted to do something for Limerick acts – something that will hopefully appeal to all shoppers and not just those aware of our thriving music scene”

Expect a huge range of records, CDs, t-shirts from Limerick local legends T.A. Narrative, His Father’s Voice, SWEETS, 50 Foot Woman, Emma Langford, Hermitage Green, Siege of Limerick/Bad Reputation, Anna’s Anchor, The Hitchers, The Low Field, Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, and Zealot Cult.

Whether you’re picking up bespoke band merch, hunting for vinyl treasures from Downbeat Records and Steamboat, or grabbing a signed copy of photographer Keith Kelly’s new book A River Runs Through It, merch from Ireland’s greatest music festival Féile na Gréine, there’s something for everyone, all available to chat, take a selfie and sign merch, maybe you’ll even catch a surprise acoustic set or two!

Niall Quinn (The Hitchers) says he will have some very unique items at the Record & Merch Fair.

“As well as Vinyl, Tees, CDs etc The Hitchers will be showcasing a new line of merch themed Historical Hitchers – a line of unique and limited edition clocks handmade from cymbals and drum parts used on their recordings back in the 90’s”.

Quinn’s Morris drum kit, used since the late 1960s, features on most Hitchers recordings but needs occasional TLC. While replacing parts, he conceived a way to fund repairs: the Historical Hitchers series.

These unique artworks, crafted from drum kit parts used on Hitchers’ recordings, double as clocks. Each limited-edition piece includes details of its origins and recordings, making them one-of-a-kind memorabilia for fans.

The Record & Merch Fair is a great way to pick up stocking fillers, hear some great music and support our creatives to continue to record and release new material.

After the Fair

Later in the evening, the Record Room will host Jinx Lennon, the punk poet troubadour from Dundalk. Jinx is a force of nature on stage, delivering razor-sharp, deeply personal, and often hilarious lyrics that speak to the heart of Irish life. And when the live music wraps up, the party isn’t over, Tom P will take over with a typically eclectic and electric set that will keep the crowd dancing into the wee hours. Known for his impeccable song choices and infectious energy, Tom P guarantees a night of feel-good fun.
