But You Look Just Fine: Limerick woman shares memoir of living with chronic pain

TO a packed crowd at the Savoy Hotel in Limerick, author Michele Roys launched her memoir, But You Look Just Fine, on Daffodil Day (April 10).

The book tells Micheleโ€™s story of living with trigeminal neuralgia – a condition so painful itโ€™s known as the โ€˜suicide diseaseโ€™ – alongside fibromyalgia and Lyme disease.

Micheleโ€™s memoir documents her struggle through excruciating, invisible pain and highlights her journey toward rediscovering joy, self-worth, and purpose.

“I was told I looked fine, even when I was barely holding on,” Michele shared.
