TO a packed crowd at the Savoy Hotel in Limerick, author Michele Roys launched her memoir, But You Look Just Fine, on Daffodil Day (April 10).
The book tells Micheleโs story of living with trigeminal neuralgia – a condition so painful itโs known as the โsuicide diseaseโ – alongside fibromyalgia and Lyme disease.
Micheleโs memoir documents her struggle through excruciating, invisible pain and highlights her journey toward rediscovering joy, self-worth, and purpose.
“I was told I looked fine, even when I was barely holding on,” Michele shared.
“This book was written for anyone who has ever felt unseen, misunderstood, or dismissed – not just those with chronic illness, but anyone navigating an invisible struggle.”
