
TWO people are being questioned by Gardaรญ this Thursday morning (May 8) after authorities seized cannabis with an estimated value of between โฌ7million and โฌ10million in south east County Clare.
The drugs were recovered in the Meelick area, a short distance from the Limerick border.
The seizure was part of a planned joint operation led by Revenue and Customs officials and Gardaรญ attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, supported by colleagues attached to the Limerick Garda Divisional Drugs Unit and Gardaรญ in County Clare.
Two people are being detained in connection with the drugs seizure.
One person is being held at a Garda station in Limerick, the other is being detained in County Clare.
Sources said the investigation was โongoingโ.
A spokesperson at Revenue said a statement would be issued later on today. Gardaรญ were asked for comment.
