INDEPENDENT councillor Brigid Teefy has called on Limerick City and Council to initiate a signage programme to be put in place in the Cappamore-Kilmallock District to check out the road signage and upgrade and replace any signs where necessary.
In response, Senior Engineer Trevor McKechnie said at September’s area meeting that the maintenance and replacement of signage is an ongoing activity.
“The municipal district roads engineer will review their current works programmes and resources with respect to the delivery of signage maintenance and replacement,” he explained.
