Interesting results for Limerick in All-Ireland League

GARRYOWEN boosted their promotion hopes with a 29-15 away win against high-flying City of Armagh in Division 1B of the All-Ireland League at the weekend.

Fionn Rowsome scored three of Garryowenโ€™s five tries, with JJ Oโ€™Neill and Des Fitzgerald grabbing one each.

Lachlin Stewart kicked two conversions.

In 1A, Young Munster lost away to UCD, 34-12. Shay McCarthy scored both of Munsterโ€™s tries and Shane Oโ€™Leary added a conversion.

In Division 2A, Shannon got themselves back into promotion contention with a 10-7 away win at Greystones. The Limerick side led 10-0 at half time with a try by Luke Moylan and a conversion and penalty by Jamie Gavin.

Old Crescent slipped into the relegation zone, after their 15-7 away defeat at Banbridge. Stephen Kiely scored a try for Crescent and Jeff Williams converted.

In the top of the table clash in 2B, it was leaders Galwegians who came away with the spoils after their 43-21 win at the 4GUL pitch against UL Bohemian.

Cian Casey scored two tries for the home side and Liam Neilan one. All three were converted by Oisรญn Fagan.

Thomondโ€™s unbeaten run in2C came to an end as they lost to second placed Clonmel in Tipperary by 24-22.

Thomond scores came through tries from Sam Birrane, Luke Fitzgerald, and Suliano Mainavolau. Evan Cusack kicked two conversions and a penalty.

Bruff slipped to sixth place after their 21-15 away defeat by bottom side Malahide. Wiktor Wilczuk scored Bruffโ€™s two tries and Paul Collins kicked a conversion and a penalty.

UL Bohemian defeated Galwegians 36-24 at the 4GUL to take over top place in the Womenโ€™s All Ireland League. Chloe Pearce scored three tries for the winners and Lucia Linn, ร‰abha Nic Dhonnacha and Caitriona Finn got one each. Finn kicked three conversions.
