GARDAĆ in Limerick City seized an amount of cannabis while out on patrol.
According to a post on the An Garda SĆochĆ”na Limerick Facebook page, Community GardaĆ from Mayorstone Garda Station made the drugs find while out on patrol as part of Operation Feabhsaigh (which targets crime and prevention the Kingās Island area).
GardaĆ observed a man āacting suspiciously in Limerick Historical Quarterā, the post said.
āThe male was apprehended and searched under the Drugs Act, where he was found to have a large quantity of suspected cannabis on his possession with an estimated street value of ā¬1,400.ā

GardaĆ said the man was arrested and detained. The drugs were sent for analysis, which will determine the course of the investigation.
