BALLYBROWN withstood a fightback from Silvermines (Tipperary) to capture the Munster Junior B Hurling Championship title at St Ita’s Park, Raheenagh.

The Limerick outfit were 0-11 to 0-6 ahead at the turnaround, and held their opponents at arm’s length for most of the closing half.

In the dying stages, Silvermines threatened an upset and a great save from goalkeeper Conor O’Neill was necessary before Ballybrown triumphed, 0-18 to 0-15.
