LIMERICK Council has called on people across the county to show their gratitude to the older people in their lives and communities.
Inspired by the ‘A Hug from Adam’ campaign, Limerick Council’s Age Friendly team announced the launch of the Limerick Older Persons Executive Gratitude Card Project, developed executive chairperson Elizabeth Stanley.
The card provides a “simple and respectful way for people to acknowledge and thank friends, neighbours, and family members who offer informal care, support, or assistance” to elderly people, aiming to “promote positive wellbeing, strengthen community connections, and help reduce social isolation among older people”.
