Man guilty of Ryan murder

A LIMERICK man has been convicted of the murder of Frankie Ryan in Moyross nearly 3 years ago.
Gary Campion, of Delmege Drive, Moyross had denied the murder of the 27-year-old, who was shot twice in the head as he sat in his car in Moyross on September 7, 2006.

Campion was found guilty of murder by majority verdict of the jury, after a six-week trial at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cloverhill.
The 27-year-old is one of two men who are serving life sentences for the murder of nightclub security man Brian Fitzgerald who was shot dead outside his home in Corbally in 2002.
Mr Justice Paul Carney adjourned sentencing until July 8 at Limerick Courthouse.
