Teen charged with Crawford murder

A 17-YEAR-old boy appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of a  man in city over two-and-a-half years ago.
The teenager – who cannot be named for legal reasons was charged after being arrested at an apartment in Shannon yesterday morning.

Noel Crawford (40), died from a single gun shot wound to the stomach at O’Malley Park in December 18, 2006.
The court heard that the youth made no reply to the charge.
Judge Tom O’Donnell remanded the accused in custody to St Patrick’s Institution to appear before the court again on June 9th.
