A MAN in his 20s received a number of stab wounds after he was attacked in the city this morning.
The incident happened on Steam Boat Quay at around 2am. The injured man is said to be in a stable condition in the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
A man in his teens was arrested following the attack and is being questioned at Henry Street Garda Station. He can be held for up to 24 hours.
