LIMERICK are the National Hurling League Division 2 champions for 2011. The Donal O’Grady coached side won the title and promotion to Division 1 for next season with a 4-11 to 2-13 win over Clare in Ennis. 30th Free to Clare, scored by Conor Ryan, after a shamozzle, 0-8 to 1-3. Limerick beginning to drift.

32nd GOAL for Limerick as Tobin strikes again. Hickey plays in long ball and Tobin looks to have gotten a touch. 2-3 to 0-8 for Limerick. Keeper threw the ball into his own net.

34th 2-4 to 0-8 now to Limerick as Downes flicks the ball skillfully over the bar

35th Downes is dragged to the ground by a hurley-less Clare full back. Downes has the upper hand here.
Free to Limerick. Clare’s FB Cooney booked. Mc Carthy tacks on the point. 2-5 to 0-8 now. ALmost half time.

67th Goal from Kevin Downes, what a goal. Ran his man from the sideline and finished from the acutest of angles. 4-10 to 2-13
