Irish Ledger final takes place this weekend

The countdown is on to the Final of the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St. Leger. The Semi Finals of the 550yds Classic took place last Saturday 25th June at the New Limerick Greyhound Stadium. The Kerry Agribusiness Irish St. Leger carries with it a prize fund of €63,000 and is the biggest event in the Limerick Racing Calendar. The Final of the 2011 Kerry Agribusiness Irish St. Leger will take place at the New Limerick greyhound Stadium on Saturday 2nd July.

This is the second year the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St. Leger will be hosted at the new Limerick venue. This high-profile event will be broadcast live by RTE 2 between 9-10pm and online at www.rte.ie on the night of the Leger Final on Saturday 2nd July. The finalists this weekend are Judical Academy, What a Tornado, Shelbourne Geoff, Varra Captain, Inislosky Magoo and Hey Gringo. A full list of runners is available to view on www.igb.ie
Speaking about the Kerry Agribusiness Irish St. Leger, Imelda Cahalan said, “This has been an extremely thrilling competition by anybody’s standards. So far, we have had two records broken by Definate Opinion and Paradise Casino, at the launch in Limerick Greyhound Stadium are Frank Hayes, Director of Corporate Affairs, Kerry Group, Imelda Cahalan, Manager Limerick Greyhound Stadium and John O’Callaghan, General Manager, Kerry Agri-Business.
