AN elderly man has died after he was struck by a van earlier today.
The accident happened at Ballaugh, Abbeyfeale in County Limerick at about 5pm.
The body was removed by ambulance to the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
A number of emergency services attended the scene.
The road was closed for a time, while a forensic examination was carried out. It is understood the driver was uninjured in the incident.
