A celebration of country music spanning decades and generations is coming to the Lime Tree Theatre on Wednesday June 10, as A Country Night in Nashville arrives for one night only.
The show, performed by Dominic Halpin and The Hurricanes, recreates the atmosphere of a buzzing honky tonk in downtown Nashville, taking audiences on a journey through the history of country music from its classic roots to its contemporary resurgence.
Country music has enjoyed a significant revival in recent years, with artists such as Taylor Swift, The Shires and Lady Antebellum introducing the genre to a new generation of fans, alongside the cultural reach of the hit US television series Nashville. A Country Night in Nashville taps into that renewed enthusiasm, bringing together hits from the genre’s biggest names past and present — from Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson to Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves and The Chicks.
Expect Ring of Fire, Crazy, 9 to 5, The Gambler, Need You Now, Follow Your Arrow and It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere among the evening’s highlights, delivered with the vocal firepower and musicianship that has made the show a favourite with country fans across Ireland.
Classic country, new country and everything in between — all under one roof for a single night in Limerick.
