Introducing Pantene Pro-V Deep Moisture Soufflé

PANTENE Pro-V scientists have borrowed the technical science of a soufflé and translated it into hair care, to give women beautifully moisturised hair that is not weighed down. Coming straight from the US, new Pantene Pro-V Deep Moisture Soufflé just hit Irish shores.

What is it?
PANTENE Pro-V Deep Moisture Soufflé contains five times the levels of pro-vitamin B5 (panthenol) vs. Pantene shampoos and conditioners,

and is a new leave-in treatment that comes in the form of a luxuriously creamy yet light soufflé. The airy formula penetrates deep inside the hair fibre, locking in moisture and resulting in intensively moisturised, silky soft hair for up to 48 hours.
How does it work?

WITH Pro-Vitamin (B5), this light, creamy recipe seals in hair’s natural moisture allowing silky-smooth hair for up to 48 hours. Hair fibres need natural moisturisers (lipids), which are essential in regulating the flow of moisture to and from the hair by creating a special waterproof barrier.
Natural lipids are lost through everyday damage (heat styling and so on), weakening the hair cuticle, leaving it more porous. Chemical processes (colouring, perming) can also damage the outer lipid layer of the hair. Once these natural lipids are lost, the hair cuticle becomes weaker, creating a less supple, unmanageable hair strand. Pantene Pro-V’s Deep Moisture Soufflé uses technologies that mimic the lipid surface layer of hair to help control the moisture balance and smoothness of hair.
The Pantene Pro-V Hair Research Institute undertook extensive investigation into the similarities between dry hair and dry skin, which has shown that moisturisation is the key to smoothness. Just like our body, hair needs a certain amount of moisture for its protein structure to function properly and be supple and flexible.   This new product uses ‘super-moisturisers’ such as petroleum which aims to replicate the role of the lipids, a common dermatologist-recommended moisturiser for skin.
