PLANS for a brand new business park on the outskirts of Limerick City have been revealed.

City Business Park on the Dock Road will be a high bay warehouse development of 200,000 sq/ft buildings ideally located for logistics and retail warehouse units.

Cooper Developments is leading the development, which will be designed to LEED Gold Standard, a globally recognised benchmark for energy-efficient and low-carbon buildings.

Described as a speculative industrial development, the warehouses will be built before any businesses agree to move in. Two completed smaller units within the park have already been leased.

Each unit will have a dedicated loading area to the rear, yard depths from 18-46 metres, and motorbike and bicycle parking facilities for staff and visitors.

Office units will have fully accessible shower and toilet facilities, an open plan office area and tiled, plastered and painted walls and floors.

Sustainability is a key factor of the design, construction and operation of each building, according to the development website.

It aims to target modern environmental standards and operational efficiency, helping occupiers achieve ESG goals while reducing long-term running costs.

All buildings will have optimised energy performance, reduced water consumption, responsible material selection, enhanced indoor environments and minimised waste.

The first unit is scheduled for delivery in the middle of 2027.
