Limerick’s Rocky Mayhem returns

THIS year’s Rocky Mayhem festival in Kilfinane, County Limerick will present four nights of entertainment with something for everyone. Headline night is Saturday June 29 featuring The Riptide Movement, Damien Dempsey, The Cast of Cheers and Limerick bands Raging Sons and Going 90.

Tickets are going fast online at the festival website. Organiser Adrian Wells told Limerick Post, “We are a totally non profit organisation with anything we make going to local causes. In fact none of us take a cent, we do this each year firstly because we love Rock’n’Roll, want to promote great Irish bands and secondly because we are a bit crazy. You have to be to take all this on.”

The Riptide Movement is a shrewd booking for the festival, always a great live band. The Dublin band play the legendary Glastonbury festival the night before the legendary Kilfinane show. The band has just finished recording the follow up album to 2012’s ‘Keep On Keepin On’.
