ANYONE who saw ‘Cinderella’ at UCH last Christmas will testify to the zest, musicality and brilliance of that show. Defeating the Ugly Sisters ‘Gangnam Style’? Richie, Twink, Leanne, you bring it on because the crowd cries out for more.

The same team returns with what promises to be “the glitziest, starriest, funniest show of the season,” says the concert hall’s Emma Foote.

The able Twink dons the mantle of Widow Twinkee (ha). Joining her will be last year’s ‘Voice of Ireland’ finalist and ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’ charmer, Richie Hayes as Wishee Washee and Adam Lawlor  (2012 stylist to the Uglies in ‘Cinderella’) as Abanazer.

“Once again outstanding local talent is well represented with the return of the stunning Leanne Moore as Princess Jasmine and last year’s hilarious hideous duo as Sisters, Myles Breen and Richard Lynch, taking on the roles of the Emperor and the Policeman,” Emma reports. “This year we are delighted to introduce Limerick man Kamal Ibrahim to the professional Panto team in the title role.

“Kamal put Limerick on the map when he was crowned Mr. World in 2010. He recently featured in ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ and he is now part of the RTE Lotto presenting team.”

This multi tasker is also a qualified airline pilot, search and rescue diver and international philanthropist for The Variety Club. Princess Yasmine/ Leann, this is no man with whom to be trival; get your pearly gnashers into him now.

Expect production values for  ’Aladdin’ at UCH to be rich and entertaining as this is a fully professional show with all bells and whistles and magic lanterns.  With matinee and evening performances from December 20 to January 5, and tickets from just €16.50, there is a day and a price to suit everyone.
