LIMERICK soprano Roisin Walsh returns to the gentle environs of St. Mary’s Cathedral for ‘The Last Rose of Summer’ concert, taking place Thursday September 12 at 8pm.

Accompanied by Colette Davis, Roisin will be joined by local artists Owen Gilhooly, Sarah-Ellen Murphy, Ellen Collins and Kevin Neville for this year’s sell-out in her name.

Ms Walsh has had an impressive couple of years on wider stages,  having completed the prestigious Guildhall School of Music opera course. Concert wise she performed three principal roles in productions with orchestra: Anita in ‘La Navarraise’ (Massenet), Marcellina in ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ (Mozart) and Miss Wingrave in ‘Owen Wingrave’ (Britten).

A Guildhall master’s course is next for this star in the making; book at www.uch.ie
