AN ABBEYFEALE woman is currently in a critical condition following a car crash in Cork on Thursday, June 26, in which her eight-year-old daughter was killed.
Alisha Scannell and her daughter Zoe from Bogmount, Abbeyfeale were on holidays in West Cork when the crash occurred at about 3pm at Owenahincha Cross, Rosscarbery, Clonakilty.
Ms Scannell, who is in her early 30s, was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital while Zoe was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and three other passengers in the vehicle they were travelling in were treated for minor injuries, while the 17-year-old driver of the second car also received non life-threatening injuries.
