* LCGA, Pery Square: ‘WHITE: lest we forget’, group show by three artists exploring conflict, war, present, past continuum. ‘Raumplan’ by Elaine Byrne upstairs. WHITE is curated by director of Limerick City Gallery of Art, Helen Carey. Opening this Thursday 25, 6pm.

* REGIONAL Maternity Hospital,Ennis Road: ‘The Amulet’, installation of artefacts and connected words, remembrances created between parents experiencing infant loss and artist Marie Brett.

Polish Arts Festival is current, theme of Celtic-Slavic Vision of Women. Talks, visual arts, music. Tuesday 30, 1pm lecture on ‘Women and (Polish) Solidarity Movement by UCC’s Dr G Doherty.

Free concerts:
ST Mary’s Cathedral’s suite of free lunchtime Wednesday concerts has a solid programme into the autumn. Check out Wednesday 24’s organ music with Daniel Battle playing Bach, Bridge and Boellman. 1.15pm. There is a retiring collection to support this constant music programme for all comers.

THE Granary this Friday September 26 hosts a 1pm recital by Zoe Conway on fiddle, and the Rider string quartet with music by Haydn. One in a series organised by Limerick Arts Office. Friday October 31 is next with Dermot Dunne on accordion; Sunrise string quartet playing Haydn and Piazzola.
