ALL hail the colourful feast of ghouls and fiends that defines Hallowe’en tradition. University Concert Hall is hosting a full-blooded production of ‘Dracula’ in a period piece laced by the grace of “young English solicitor Jonathan Harker” for this Tuesday 21 at 8pm – one show only.
Expect the age old tussle between good and evil, even if Harker is a legal eagle.

This adaptation of Bram Stoker’s masterpiece on vampirism sees Gerard McCarthy playing both Jonathan Harker. His diaries chronicle this story, as well as the remarkably hardy fang-toothed one.

UCH tells us: “Using multiple cameras, backing screens, projections, surround sound and a newly commissioned score, this solo tour de force will make audiences scream.”

The show features filmed cameos by Kym Marsh (soap star), Rachel Tucker (West End star) and Jayne Wisener (film) as the brides of Dracula.
Well, we all know those incisors got around.

Gerard McCarthy is one of Northern Ireland’s most versatile young actors. Best known for TV roles in ‘The Fall’, ‘Hollyoaks’, ‘Vikings’ and new BBC comedy ‘Puppy Love’, he was in The Globe’s production of ‘The Merry Wives Of Windsor’ in London and the transfer to New York.
His debut feature film, ‘A Nightingale Falling’ is due for general release in the autumn of 2014.
