Jazz with Jacob Deaton
JACOB Deaton makes his first visit to Ireland and the UK from the States to perform music from his debut album and much loved jazz pieces. Head for Dolan’s Upstairs on Wednesday November 5, 8.30pm to enjoy his local gig.

Deaton is one of Atlanta’s most in demand musicians having been featured as a headliner during the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival. The new CD features 10 original compositions as performed by his Tribulation Band and was inspired by thoughts of his native Indiana.

“Jacob describes the music as simple acoustic songs with jazz musicians stretching it into something different,” reports his host, John Daly of Limerick Jazz Society. “He will be joined by the superbly talented rhythm section of Andrew Csibi on double bass and Kevin Lawlor on drums.”

Lunchtime at Cathedral

THE Wednesday series of short lunchtime recitals open to all comers to St Mary’s Cathedral continues on the 5th. Peter Barley on organ plays music by Vierne, Sweeney, Elgar and Wiedermann.
