A COMING together of three choirs will dignify a ‘gala debut’ Christmas concert at Augustinian Church on Tuesday December 16, 8pm. Centre stage is Unity Gospel Choir Limerick in its first full concert in town, led by Gretta McCormack-O’Shea and joined by The Aherlow Gospel Choir and the region’s first choir of people with a hearing disability, Hands in Harmony.
There are other unique selling points to this community event. All proceeds from €10 ticket sales (O’Mahony’s Booksellers and tel. 086-10032500) will go to Zondra Meany’s treatment fund for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a genetic tissue disorder that means this Dooradoyle woman requires surgery in America.
‘Joyful Christmas’ concert will see Unity Gospel Choir Limerick’s new gowns – promised to be spectacular – next Tuesday 16.
