POETS and writers are being invited to submit entries to the third annual Doolin Poetry & Short Story Competition 2015.

Hotel Doolin, in association with Tramp Press and Salmon Poetry, says that for the first time their competition includes a poetry contest – having focused on short stories before now.

The prize fund for first place in each competition is €1000.

Winners will receive a publishing consultation with Tramp Press for the short story winner and with Salmon Poetry for the poet.

The Poetry Competition will be judged by poet Jessie Lendennie, the founder and managing editor of Salmon Poetry; Éilís Ní Dhuibhne is this year’s Short Story judge.

Doolin Writer’s Weekend features workshops and readings by esteemed writers including Booker Prize nominee Donal Ryan, the award winning novelist and short story writer Christine Dwyer Hickey, also Dave Lordan, Anthony Glavin and Madeleine Darcy.
