RTÉ is to film a special fundraising event in Limerick this Sunday, in memory of baby Lola Nagle.
The event is being hosted by Lola’s father – local tattoo artist Ross Nagle – and will be filmed as part of a documentary in which he is involved.
The fundraiser comes just weeks after baby Lola tragically passed away from meningitis at just 18 months old and will be held at Ross’s All Star Ink studio to raise funds for ACT for Meningitis Ireland.
Ross says he is overwhelmed by the contributions being made by people towards the fundraiser so far.
“It warms my heart to see the love and support. One hundred per cent of any money raised will go directly to ACT for Meningitis Ireland in my little girl’s name to help create awareness and maybe save some lives.”
The event will include a raffle for a signed jersey donated by Liverpool soccer star Daniel Agger as well as many other prizes.
Ross’s fellow tattoo artists will also be offering their services for this cause and will be available to tattoo donators with a choice of butterflies for €50. There will also be face-painting throughout the day.
ACT for Meningitis CEO Siobhan Carroll said: “ACT for Meningitis are honoured to be taking part in this event, in memory of a very special little girl Lola Nagle.
“Knowing the signs and symptoms of meningitis is so important and this event will help us to raise vital awareness around Limerick and the surrounding area.”
ACT for Meningitis Lola Jane Nagle Fundraiser takes place this Sunday June 14 at 12 noon in All Star Ink Studio on 44 Wickham Street.
All donations will go to ACT for Meninigits.
