CONTRACTS have been formally signed for the construction of a new social housing development in Annacotty.

That’s according to Limerick City and County Council, who confirmed that Martins Construction will deliver the new homes, located off Mulcair Drive, consisting of six new two-bedroom social housing units.

The Council said that elderly and mobility-impaired residents were identified as “potential end users”.

The development is being funded by the Department of Housing’s Social Housing Investment Programme. A 16 month programme of works is expected to commence shortly.
