N18 set to reopen following crash

THE N18 road at Clondrinagh Roundabout on the approach to Limerick is set to reopen later this Monday following a serious road traffic collision.

It is understood that one person was injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling was involved in a collision with a large display sign at the roundabout.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene during the early hours of this Monday morning and one individual had to be freed from the wreckage.

Following the collision, Gardai closed the dual carriage way road in both directions.

 

Gardaí at Mayorstone are investigating.

The road is expected to open later this Monday.

Diversions are in operation via the Old Cratloe Rd and Thomandgate
