3 x one act plays from Torch Players

Sewing Noel Coward's Mild Oats, Ruth Everard and Eoghan Ahern

LOFT Venue, overhead Locke Bar and Restaurant on George’s Quay, is home for three one-act plays by emerging Torch Players directors into Friday 9 at 7.30pm. Staging is under the vigilant eye of Maurice O’Sullivan.

Sheenagh Murphy directs ‘Death of a Gerbil’ by Dewan Demmer, a comedy “finding out that once you’re dead, things can only go downhill from there.”

‘The Joys of Childhood’ by Kirsten Greenridge is in the hands of Joanne O’Brien, she who gave a fine turn this year as The Constant Wife. She’s directing Muireann Carr cast in the role of precious mother.

This month is all about Noel Coward, with ‘Mild Oats’ being his bittersweet comedy about a hook up set in London’s 1930s. Eoghan Aherne and Ruth Everard are the couple. €10/ €5.
