RUGBY fans gathered at McGettigan’s Bar at Limerick City Hotel last Saturday to watch Ireland take on England in the opening match of the Six Nations championship.

The match might not have gone our way but as you can see from our photographs, that didn’t stop everyone from enjoying the evening as they watched all the action on the big screens.

McGettigan’s has proved a very popular venue for sporting events with their selection of food, drink and after work specials adding to the atmosphere for fans of rugby, soccer, GAA and golf and so much more.

They also cater brilliantly for parties with party platters and music proving the perfect backdrop for any big occasion.

Speaking of music, on this Friday February 8 there’s a real treat in store for music fans  with a Tom Jones tribute act performing live in the bar from 8pm. It is sure to be a popular night with the famous crooner responsible for legendary hits ‘Delilah’, ‘It’s Not Unusual’ and ‘What’s New Pussycat’ – which are bound to be crowd pleasers this Friday night!
