Gardaí seek public assistance in serious assault and robbery investigation in Limerick

Gardaí in Henry Street are investigating a fatal three-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on O’Curry Street, Limerick last night, Wednesday 4th March at approximately 9:40pm.

GARDAÍ at Roxboro Road are seeking the assistance of the public into their investigation of a serious assault and robbery at Carrig Drive, Dooradoyle, Limerick on the night of Saturday 23rd March 2019, at approximately 9pm.

The victim, a 51 year old male, had just exited his 06 Donegal (DL) registered blue Suzuki Swift on Carrig Drive, Dooradoyle when he was attacked and robbed by a group of up to three males. The victim was struck to the head and had his car keys, mobile telephone and a sum of money taken in the course of this robbery.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident and are asking that anyone with information in regard to this incident or anyone who may have seem some suspicious or unusual activity in the Carrig Drive area at the time, to make contact with investigating Gardaí at Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214340, the Garda Confidential line 1800 666111, or any Garda Station.
