Two Keith Earls tries ensured Munster reached their 14th Champions Cup semi final after beating Edinburgh on a 17-13 scoreline at Murrayfield.

Munster trailed by three points at the break, but managed to fight back to earn a sensational win in the Scottish capital.

Johann van Graan’s side withstood some ferocious pressure in the early stage and went in front with Tadhg Beirne in the sin bin thanks to some quick thinking by Earls.

He took a quick penalty and darted past a couple of would be Edinburgh tackles to score the opening try that Joey Carbery converted.

Edinburgh hit back immediately through Chris Dean to cut the gap to two, before Jaco van der Walt nailed the conversion and then a penalty to give the home side a 10-7 advantage.

Tyler Bleyendaal came on for the injured Carbery before half time and levelled things with a penalty six minutes into the second half.

Van der Walt had Edinburgh in front soon after with a penalty after Munster were pinged for holding on.

Munster piled on the pressure in search for a score that would restore the lead and it came from Earls on 71 minutes.

Bleyendaal then landed a sensational conversion to give Munster a sensational 17-13 victory. They will now play Saracens in the Champions Cup semi final.
