TELEVISION viewers are being offered a free-to-air IPTV service from SmartCity, the Limerick-based cable and satellite company.
And they are so confident of the standard of the new service that they are offering a free three-day trial as well as live demonstrations at their shop in Lower Gerald Griffin Street.
If you have internet with a speed of at least 3 mbps, you can access all your favourite channels with no satellite dish or aerial required.
There are no set-up or installation fees and the IPTV service can be used on a wide range of devices including iPhone, iPad, Android Box, Android TV, tablet, phone, Mag Box, Amazon Fire TV Box.
In addition to as many as 70 free-to-air channels, you can connect to the internet and work wirelessly or with a cable. There is a seven-day playback (catch-up) facility.
There is a once-off €80 payment for the free-to air box and the €50 subscription fee to activate the channels lasts for three years.
