Kilteely Dromkeen Innovation named Entrepreneurs of the year

KDI Limited, a green company which process and export recyclables, were named Entrepreneurs of the year 2022 in the Limerick Final of the National Enterprise Awards in the Limerick Strand Hotel. 

The competition is organised by Ireland’s Local Enterprise’s offices and gives recognition to the contribution of micro enterprises to the National Economy.

The awards were presented by Mike Cantwell, Head of Enterprise, Limerick Local Enterprise Office (LEO) and Judy Tighe, AIB. Other companies that enjoyed success at the event include Solar Clean Robotics for Innovation and Lisa Daly from ‘This is You’ who received the One to Watch Award.

KDI Limited will be Limerick’s representatives in the National Enterprise Awards on 2 June 2022 at the Mansion House in Dublin.

LEO Limerick also enjoyed success at the awards, with an annual report showing LEO Limerick supported companies that have created 179 new jobs in the 12 months to December 2021. This is the eighth year of year-on-year growth in jobs in Limerick with LEO Limerick supporting a total of 298 small businesses employing 1,825 people.
