COIS Sionna Desmond Credit Union has announced the appointment of their newest Business Development Officer, Patrick Ranahan. The West Limerick native, steeped in GAA culture and history, has been touted as a top fit in the local community.
Patrick has a wealth of experience in business, having spent more than 16 years in the financial sector handling personal loans, business loans, and farm loans.
Expressing his delight in the new appointment, COIS Sionna Desmond Credit Union CEO Bernie O’Dea said: “The appointment of a new Business Development Officer for the credit union is a positive step as we begin to expand our services to members, especially at a time when other financial institutions are leaving the market or reducing services.”
The appointment comes during a critical time of growth on the back of the recent merger with Rathkeale and District Credit Union.
The merger brings the credit union’s size to over €240 million, where they offer a full suite of financial services from loans, savings, and current accounts, as well as debit cards operating out of 11 offices.
