Limerick racecourse all set for summer programme

Limerick’s Greenmount Park has unveiled its Summer Programme with the Patrickswell venue set to host seven meetings across May, June and July. 

“We are bursting for the off,” an enthused Limerick General Manager Tom Rudd told Limerick Post. 

“Racing at Limerick in the summer go hand in hand, and always have. We have put in place what are several special days of racing, from our BBQ evenings, incredible entertainment, to Ladies Day. We are looking forward to welcoming groups of friends, work colleagues, and families to Limerick Races.”

At the heart of Limerick’s Summer Programme is Ladies Day on the afternoon of Saturday June 24. 

Fiona Hayes owner of FH Style has been booked to co-ordinate the day. She is a commercial, retail, and TV stylist, and a regular contributor on RTÉ’s Today Show.

“I love a day out at the races and what a fantastic amenity in Limerick Racecourse that we have on our doorstep,” commented Fiona. 

“I’ve been going to the races at Limerick since I was a young girl with my family. I am very excited about Ladies Day and delighted to be part of the event.”

Cliona’s Foundation Annual Race Day is scheduled to take place on Thursday May 25 while Regeneron Family Raceday has been announced for the following evening (Friday). There are four further Twilight outings across June and July with live entertainment after racing on all occasions.
