"After work, I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for a bus back. After six weeks of it, I was completely shattered. I just couldn't do it anymore. I had to give up my job," Noreen said. Photo: Ant Rozetsky/Unsplash.

A COACH driver who had a mechanical problem has asked the Limerick Post to convey his thanks to people who helped him out of a bind.

Stephen Vint drives a tour bus which broke down outside the Longcourt Hotel in Newcastle West.

He went to the hotel where staff weighed in to help find a mechanic.

“Tom arrived with jump leads and got the bus going. Within an hour, he had the alternator of another bus put in, meaning I can finish the season.”
