New prospectus launched to showcase ‘Limerick Student City’

LIMERICK City and County Council have unveiled a new document to showcase all the Treaty has to offer as a student city.

The Limerick Student City Prospectus showcases the best that Limerick on show for students and frames the Treaty as a “future-focused city” offering a unique student experience.

The prospectus goes beyond what the city has to offer in terms of educational institutions, emphasising the city’s dynamic attributes that contribute to a “well-rounded college experience”.

Limerick has a student population of over of 24,000, including international students from more than 100 countries.

Addressing Limerick’s student population, Mayor Gerald Mitchell said: “We all know that there is more to your college experience than what happens in the lecture hall alone.”

“The right location, city, and community all impact your college years. Limerick’s future-focused position, accessibility, youth, vibrancy, and its safe and supportive outlook make it a particularly attractive prospect for potential students.”

The leaflet informs students of things to do around the city, from food and nightlife to cultural offerings.

Head of Marketing and Communications at Limerick City and County Council, Donn O’Sullivan, said: “Limerick is not just a city, it’s an experience. We invite students to consider Limerick as their location of choice for third-level education, where academic excellence meets a vibrant, welcoming community.”

“The prospectus is your guide to discovering everything Limerick has to offer, from living in the city to experiencing its lively nightlife. Your world class education begins here,” he concluded.
