Munster jump up URC leaderboard

URC action continued this weekend.

HOLDERS Munster have jumped up to third in the URC following an impressive 40-29 defeat of leaders Glasgow Warriors at a heaving Musgrave Park.

The home province haven’t lost a fixture at the venue now since 2019.

In an outing in which Munster touched down six times, Player of the Match Tom Ahern led the way with an opening-half brace, while other five-pointers arrived from Edwin Edogbo, captain Diarmuid Barron, Alex Nankivell, and John Hodnett.

Munster were 26-5 ahead at the break.

Jack Crowley was on kicking duty, on a cold evening when Oli Jager made his debut for The Reds.
