ONE lucky Limerick Lotto player is €250,000 richer this week after scooping the top prize in Wednesday’s Lotto Plus 2 draw.

The winner is thought to be from the Dromcollogher area, and players in the area are being urged to check their tickets.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was bought in Meaney’s Centra in Dromcollogher on Wednesday (December 6), the day of the draw.

Shop owner Colm Meaney was thrilled to hear that one of his customers was waking up to good news: “It’s always a good time for good news but winning this in the lead up to Christmas really is brilliant timing.”

“We have lots of local customers here in the community and we have already had people in this morning talking about the win. We have had a good few lucky customers through the years across Telly Bingo and EuroMillions so that’s what all the chat has been about.”

“There’s a real buzz around the place with the €250,000 win so we were all delighted to hear. We’ll probably see even more of our customers in as the day goes on to check their tickets. Hopefully the winner knows just how much their ticket is worth already,” he said.

The winning numbers in Wednesday’s Lotto Plus 2 draw were: 3, 7, 12, 29, 37, 43, and the bonus number was 38.

The Limerick winner, who now has a ticket worth €250,000, should sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.

The biggest winner in last night’s draw should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize.
