LIMERICK colleges and universities will soon receive significant funding from the Department of Further and Higher Education as announced in Budget 2024.
The Student Assistance Fund for students who are finding it hard to make ends meet will see significant of funding, with โฌ17million being invested in 23 institutions nationally.
University of Limerick will receive โฌ567,073, with an additional โฌ516,042 being given for cost of living supports.
Meanwhile, Mary Immaculate College will get โฌ194,549, with โฌ173,741 in cost of living supports.
The Technological University of the Shannon will be given โฌ575,988 to support their students, as well as an additional โฌ527,979 to help with the cost of living.
