A MAJOR fundraiser was held in Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel in Shannon last Saturday (January 6) in aid of the Mid West Cancer Foundation at University Hospital Limerick.
Entertainment on the night was provided by Limerick Rose Molli Ann O’Halloran and Clare Rose Aisling O’Connor.
Almost €5,500 was raised on the night for the Limerick cancer care centre.
Also on the entertainment lineup on the night were a Fair City star, the Non Nobis Domine Choir and Harmony Bro, the Munster Rugby Supporters Choir, all overseen by seasoned compere Noel Murphy.
Guests of honour included Shannon Cathaoirleaach Donna McGettigan and Canon Brendan O’Donoghue.
