Man to appear in court in connection with stolen delivery van in Limerick City

A MAN was due to appear before Limerick District Court this morning in connection with a stolen delivery van which was taken from the North Circular Road area of Limerick City just before Christmas.

Gardaí say that a man in his 20s is due to appear before the courts this morning (Thursday January 25) after being arrested early on Wednesday.

Gardaí are still investigating the theft of an An Post delivery van on the morning of December 20, which was taken around the Old Westfields area of the North Circular Road in Limerick City.

The van was recovered by Gardaí but a number of bundles of mail are still missing, with Gardaí issuing an appear earlier this week for anyone in the Old Westfields, New Westfields, Roses Avenue, Iona Drive, Sunville, Belvue Gardens areas who “may have been expecting mail but did not receive it” on the run up to Christmas to get in touch.

Investigations are still ongoing.
