PUPILS at Parteen National School had their 15 minutes of fame as RTÉ came knocking on the schoolhouse door.
The local national school, and the excited pupils therein, were host to Limerick Operation Transformation hero Darragh Fitzgerald, who stopped into the school as part of filming for the RTÉ show to share his journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
A staff member said the school was “buzzing with excitement” to welcome the local fitness buff.
Mr Fitzgerald spoke to pupils about fitness and healthy eating before the school’s in-house ‘fitness guru’, Síle Kilbane, put the gathered group through their paces with some group exercise.
