Limerick City Sinn Féin to host annual Easter commemoration

Cllr Sharon Benson will address the 1916 commemoration on Easter Sunday.

LIMERICK City Sinn Féin will host a commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising in Limerick this coming Easter Sunday.

The event will take place at the Republican Plot in Mount St Lawrence Cemetery on Easter Sunday (March 31), at 11.45am.

Speaker on the day will be Danielle O’Shea, Sinn Féin local election candidate for City East.

The event will be chaired by Michael Killeen, another local election candidate in the same area, while the Easter Proclamation will be read by councillor Sharon Benson.

Following that, there will be a wreath laying at the grave of Sean Glynn from Pennywell.
